Unique Workshops and Arbor Day Activities Announced
at the Botanical Gardens

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens offers a wide variety of programs and workshops throughout the year. This spring, the Botanical Gardens will hold Beginning Bonsai Workshops on April 19 and 20 and Hypertufa Container Workshops on May 12.  In celebration of Arbor Day 2018, the Botanical Gardens will host Arbor Day Tree Tours and an Arbor Day Tree Planting on April 27. The Beginning Bonsai Workshops are a hands-on workshop that is one of a kind. Botanical Gardens Awarded an Education Grant to Fund Educational Field Trips for All Sixth Grade Students in the Lackawanna City School District

The J.M. McDonald Foundation, Inc. has awarded the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society, Inc. an Education Grant to provide educational programming at the Botanical Gardens for 160 Lackawanna City School students.   This grant will allow all sixth grade students from the Lackawanna City School District to visit the Botanical Gardens for a hands-on program, free of charge. The Not A Drop To Drink program is designed for middle school students and encourages them to explore topics of pollution and responsible water usage. Lumagination is a captivating and interactive exhibit that will transform the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens with light, sound and imagination from January 27 through February 24, 2018.
