Yoga, Art and Horticulture Programs to be Held at the Botanical Gardens

Buffalo, NY - The Botanical Gardens is an inspiring place to learn about wellness, art and horticulture. Two sessions of yoga, Gentle Hatha and Gentle Power Flow, will be offered for a fall session beginning August 30 and a winter session beginning on November 15.  Intermediate and Beginner Watercolor classes will be offered in several different sessions beginning September 5.  Four different Horticulture Certificate Series will be offered beginning with Horticulture I, starting September 9, Horticulture II beginning October 28, Horticulture III will begin January 27 and Horticulture IV will begin on April 14.  Also, new this season, the Botanical...


Botanical Gardens Awarded a $30,000 Education Grant

   The First Niagara Foundation, in partnership with KeyBank, has awarded the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society, Inc. a $30,000 Education Grant ($10,000 a year over three years).  The purpose of the grant is to provide educational programming at the Botanical Gardens for 700 Buffalo Public School and Charter School students.   This grant will allow students from the Buffalo Public Schools and Charter Schools, located in the city of Buffalo,  to visit the Botanical Gardens for, free of charge, hands-on programs. Summer Camp for Kids Offered at the Botanical Gardens

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society, Inc. announces a new format for summer camp this year.  Nature Explorers Art & Science Camp will engage campers to discover plants and the natural world through art and science. Explorers will spend time discovering the Botanical Gardens, completing multimedia art projects, learning drawing and painting skills, participating in games, taking home their own plants to care for and so much more.  This is a full-day camp for kids that begins July 10 and runs weekly through August 18.  The Botanical Gardens Nature Explorers Art and Science Camp is perfect for parents...
