Become a Botanical Gardens’ Docent and Inspire All Ages!

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is recruiting for the Docent Training Class of 2016. Docent training will begin on September 8 or 10, requiring a weekly commitment of Thursdays from 9am-1pm or Saturdays from 9am-1pm. The training program consists of a 6 week course that will conclude on October 18 with a graduation ceremony at the Botanical Gardens. To become a Docent at the Botanical Gardens, organizers ask that interested individuals have a love of gardening or botany, enjoy learning and talking with the public and would like to become involved in a rewarding volunteer...

2016 Fairy Festival Winners

Our second annual Fairy Festival was a hit on Saturday, April 30! So many fairies and gnomes of all ages descended upon the Gardens for fun activities and to view the entries from our Fairy and Gnome House Contest that were displayed in the Gardens for the weekend. Festival events included a visit from our feathered friends from Messinger Woods, lavender planting, fairy wand and plant stake making, face-painting, workshops and of course viewing entries on display from the Fairy and Gnome House Contest. Summer Camp for Kids Offered at the Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens announces a summer full of fun creative and educational camps for kids.  Children may partake in a morning Art Camp, attend the afternoon Junior Botany Camp, or choose to participate in both camps for a full day of learning and fun.
