Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Botanical Gardens

If you are looking to take mom somewhere special this Mother’s Day or need a unique gift for her, look no further! The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will celebrate moms with a Mother’s Day Membership Markdown, discounting memberships 20 percent, from May 1 through May 13.  May 11 is National Public Gardens Day and admission is only $1 to bring mom to the Botanical Gardens.  May 12 and 13, the Botanical Gardens will be open to delight mothers and their families from 10am through 5pm. Don’t forget to plan ahead and purchase a gift certificate for an upcoming art class, workshop or event. The Gift Shop will also be stocked with last minute gifts for mom.

Mother’s Day is May 13 and the Botanical Gardens is celebrating with a Mother’s Day Membership Markdown! In order to honor the amazing moms in our lives, from May 1 through May 13, individual memberships will be discounted by 20 percent. Memberships include; year-round, free admission to the Botanical Gardens, discounts on selected classes, shows, and exhibits; 10 percent discount in the gift shop and on The Great Plant Sale; seasonal mailings and invitations to special events. Another great benefit of Botanical Gardens’ membership is that it includes reciprocal admission benefits to nearly 300 gardens and arboretums across the country as well as in Canada and Mexico. Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend, May 11, 12, and 13, in a way both you and your mom will enjoy. The whole family will delight in a trip to the tropical oasis for some time to relax and enjoy each other and nature. Mom will also delight in magically creative designs on display as part of the Fairy and Gnome House Exhibit (April 28 through May 28). May 11 is National Public Gardens Day, which is a national day of celebration to raise awareness of America’s public gardens and their important role in environmental stewardship and awareness, plant and water conservation, and education in communities nationwide. Admission on May 11 is $1 for the general public, Botanical Garden Members and kids under 2 are free! General admission prices for May 12 and 13 are; $11 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+) $9 students (13+), $6 for kids 3-12, Botanical Garden Members and kids two and under are free.  Tickets are available online at www.buffalogardens.com or inside the Botanical Gardens at the admission desk. The Botanical Gardens will be open from 10am through 5pm during Mother’s Day Weekend.

If you need a gift for mom this Mother’s Day, consider a gift certificate to one of the Botanical Gardens’ upcoming classes or events such as; the Hypertufa Workshop, The Great Plant Sale, Watercolor Classes or Oil Painting Classes. Gifts for mom are also available in the Botanical Gardens’ Gift Shop which will be open from 10am through 5pm throughout Mother’s Day Weekend.  The Gift Shop offers many different gifts for mom ranging from gardening essentials, unique gifts, local jewelry, flowers, plants and more.
