Mum Exhibit and Two Special Admission Offers are Planned at the Botanical Gardens

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens announces their 119th Mum Exhibit will be held October 5 through November 3.  A special BuffaLove Dollar Day, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, will take place on October 14 and Buffalo Philharmonic Subscribers receive buy one, get one admission to the Botanical Gardens on October 18 in celebration of conductor JoAnn Falletta’s 20th Anniversary with the BPO. 

The Botanical Gardens’ oldest flower exhibit is celebrating its 119th anniversary. The Chrysanthemum (Mum) Exhibit has taken a spooky turn this year! MUMster Mash is this year’s theme that shows a mad scientist lab, a spooky cemetery, ghosts, mummies and more. The seasonal fun will be accompanied by thousands of BOOtiful mums. 

The Mum Exhibit is included with Botanical Gardens’ admission - $12.50 adults, $11 seniors (62+), $11 students (13+ with ID), $7 Kids 3-12, Botanical Gardens’ members and kids 2 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online at buffalogardens.com or inside the Botanical Gardens at the admission desk.

On October 14, the Botanical Gardens will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a dollar admission day.  The Hispanic Heritage Council of WNY Inc. will be onsite to engage with visitors while they enjoy the beautiful Botanical Gardens.  A special self-guided scavenger hunt throughout the Botanical Gardens will also be available to visitors in English and in Spanish. The Council is dedicated to preserving the history of Hispanics in Western New York for future generations.  It is a nonprofit organization that exists to foster and inspire awareness, understanding, and appreciation of past, present, and future contributions of the Hispanic Community in Western New York.

On October 18, the Botanical Gardens will offer buy one, get one free admission for current BPO subscribers. Visitors can enjoy a free and fun BPO inspired self-guided scavenger hunt throughout the Botanical Gardens, previously recorded BPO music played throughout the Botanical Gardens all day and free docent led tours will be held at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Society, Inc. provides a resident, professional, major symphony orchestra of artistic excellence and integrity to enrich the quality of life in Western New York through the presentation of live symphonic music and other musical events which educate and entertain the broadest possible audiences within and beyond the Western New York region.
