The 2017 Gala at the Gardens, A Night in Balance, is Planned for September 22

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society, Inc. announced their annual Gala at the Gardens will take place on Friday, September 22 from 6 to 10pm.  The Gala will welcome over 350 dedicated supporters to raise funds for the Botanical Gardens.

With a theme of, A Night in Balance, Co-Chairs, Diane Chrisman and Sharon Osgood, along with the Gala Committee have planned a memorable affair with a few special surprises.  Honorary Chairs, C.J. and Susan Urlaub will welcome guests for an evening to celebrate the peak of the Autumnal Equinox. The Co-Chairs and Honorary Chairs encourage all guests to immerse themselves in the perfect balance of this unique event by wearing black and/or white.

Guests will delight in the Botanical Gardens’ indoor and outdoor gardens while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and sipping cocktails with friends. The evening’s emcee, Sue O’Neil from Star 102.5, will set the stage for this magical evening.  Dinner, catered by Oliver’s, will be served under an enchanted tent in front of the Botanical Gardens.  A live auction, hosted by Eric Monahan, Cash Realty & Auction LLC will keep guests bidding on spectacular auction packages to raise funds to support the Botanical Gardens’ important mission.  Then, a meaningful Mission Moment auction will highlight the Botanical Gardens’ proposed Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program. This auction will raise funds to support the environmentally friendly IPM program, IPM education and overall thoughtful care of the plant collection.  

The Gala is sponsored by Moog Inc., Ecology & Environment, and Uniland Development Company.  Individual tickets are $175 and sponsorships range from $1,400 up to $10,000.  Program ads are also available for $150 up to $450.  Tickets, sponsorships and program ads can be purchased by calling the Development Department at 716.827.1584 ext. 203 or by emailing bzandi@buffalogardens.com.
